“Son Heung-min imitated a Japanese comedian”.
Tottenham Hotspur were scheduled to play their second match of their Asia tour against English Championship (2nd Division) side Leicester City at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on March 23.
However, the kickoff was postponed due to heavy local rain, which turned the poorly drained pitch into a puddle.
Eventually, after 40 minutes, the organizers decided to cancel the game.
After losing their first preseason game against EPL West Ham United 2-3 in Perth, Australia, on Sept. 18, Tottenham tried to play their second preseason game in Thailand, but the heavens didn’t help.
Son Heung-min, who missed the first preseason game against the Hammers, did not play again. He was scheduled to start alongside Harry Kane, but he was only able to warm up with his teammates.
He waved to the disappointed Thai fans before exiting the pitch.
Ahead of the match, Tottenham released a video of their training session in Bangkok on their official channel. In the footage, Son clearly showed how he has established himself as a key player for the team.
In particular, Son clapped his hands to encourage the players and shouted “Power!” in a playful voice.
Japanese media described Son’s “Power!” as similar to that of local comedians. Football Zone wrote, “Son Heung-min is seen screaming ‘Power!’ during an indoor training session. He is clearly imitating a Japanese comedian. That makes it even more interesting.”
However, unlike the story on Football Zone, it’s not a scream, but a playful voice. It was his brother telling jokes to the players during a potentially boring training session. 먹튀검증
And there’s no reason for Son to imitate a Japanese comedian when he’s in Bangkok, not on an Asian tour to Japan. He is just envious of Son Heung-min’s existence.
Meanwhile, Tottenham will travel to Singapore to play a preseason match against Singaporean team Ryan City on the 26th.
