The NC Dinos defeated the KT Wiz to move back into third place.
NC won 7-3 against KT in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League at Katie Wiz Park in Suwon on November 11.
With the win, NC improved to 50 wins, 1 loss and 44 draws, dropping KT to fourth place (51 wins, 2 losses and 45 draws) and moving up to third place (50 wins, 1 loss and 44 draws).
NC starter Shin Min-hyuk picked up his fourth win of the season (5-0) with five innings of three-hit ball, two walks, four strikeouts and one earned run. Closer Lee Yong-chan, who pitched 1⅓ scoreless innings, earned his 18th save (3-2).
The offense was led by Kwon Hee-dong, who had a two-run double with one out in the first inning. Jason Martin chipped in with four hits, two doubles, one home run, two RBIs and two runs scored.
KT, which was looking for its third straight win, saw its winning streak come to an end after starting pitcher Wes Benjamin struggled, allowing five runs (four earned) on eight hits with one walk and two strikeouts in five innings.

NC added one more run in the second inning when Park Gun-woo hit an RBI double with the bases loaded. In the fourth inning, Park Gun-woo hit another RBI single with runners on second and third.
KT got one run back in the sixth inning when Ahn Chi-young singled with runners on first and third, but Martin’s solo home run in the seventh tilted the game in NC’s favor.
KT scored two runs in the eighth, but could not get any closer, and NC added one more run in the ninth to secure the four-run victory.
