‘Korea tour over,’ Lee thanks fans for warm reception: “I think I was able to play this match because of the fans”

Lee Kang-in (22, PSG) says goodbye to his Korean fans.

On Thursday (Nov. 4), Lee took to his personal social media accounts to share his thoughts on the end of his tour of South Korea.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) hosted Jeonbuk Hyundai at the Busan Asiad Stadium at 5:00 p.m. on March 3 for a preseason friendly match in the Coupang Play Series, winning 3-0.

Prior to their trip to Korea, PSG toured Japan, where they faced Al Nasr, Cerezo Osaka, and Inter Milan. The match against Inter Milan took place in Tokyo, Japan on the 1st, and the PSG players touched down in Korea on the 2nd, the day after the match, through Gimhae International Airport.

Since then, PSG has been on the move. From the airport at 2:20 p.m., the players provided fans with fan service and then went straight to their hotel, where they met and interacted with numerous fans. At 6:30 p.m. the same day, the team traveled to the Busan Asiad Stadium for an open training session in the sweltering heat.

On the third day of the match, it was hot in Busan. The fans were eager to welcome PSG and Lee Kang-in, but the heat was so intense that at 12:48 p.m., a disaster message went out saying, “The heat wave continues with a temperature of 35 degrees or more, please refrain from outdoor activities during the day and take care of your health by drinking plenty of water and resting.”

But the scorching heat didn’t dampen PSG’s professionalism. As PSG players entered the stadium to play Jeonbuk, they waved to the Korean fans who greeted them.

Despite a grueling summer schedule, the entire squad took the match against Jeonbuk in Busan seriously, with Neymar, who hadn’t played a minute of football in the three matches of the Japan tour, playing the full game and scoring two goals and providing one assist. 꽁머니사이트

PSG even brought on Lee Kang-In as a substitute in the 24th minute to play alongside Neymar.

Shortly after the match, PSG departed for Paris, France, via Gimhae International Airport.

On his social media accounts, Lee posted photos from the match in South Korea, saying, “I think I was able to play this match because of the fans who showed me great love and support even in such hot weather. Thank you for supporting the team at the airport, at the hotel, in open training and on the pitch. I will do my best to show my best this season, and I hope everyone stays healthy in the heat!” he concluded.

Meanwhile, after concluding its preseason with a tour of South Korea, PSG will host FC Lorient in the first leg of the 2023-2024 Ligue 1 season at 4:00 p.m. on March 13.
