Cristiano Ronaldo (38, Al Nasr) scored a thrilling come-from-behind goal to give his team the win. It was a cool finish that even South Korean international goalkeeper Kim Seung-gyu (33, Al Shabab) couldn’t stop.
Al Nasr came from behind to beat Al Shabab 3-2 in the 28th round of the Saudi Professional League at KSU Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday (July 24).
With the win, Al Nasr moved to 63 points (19 wins, 6 draws, 3 losses), closing the gap on leaders Al Ittihad (66 points). Al Shabab, who were unable to defend their two-goal lead, remain in third place with 53 points (16 wins, 5 draws, 7 losses).
Al Shabab struck first. In the 22nd minute, a penalty kick was awarded after an Al Nasr defense committed a handball foul on a corner kick. Christian Guanca stepped up to take the spot kick, and rattled the net with an accurate shot that found the corner of the net.

Al Nasr pulled one back. Talisca scored in the 44th minute, finishing a low cross from the left side of the box with his left foot. For Al Shabab, a bad pass in their defensive zone cost them the ball.
Al Nasr equalized. In the fifth minute of the second half, Ali Al-Hassan won the ball on the right and sent a low cross into the box. Abdulrahman Gharib connected with a calm turning shot to equalize.
